When this product first came out I have to be honest…. I wasn’t sure if it was just a smaller version of a product that we have had on the market for 30 years, the Merlin desktop. The Merlin with the 24” screen has been a staple and a favorite of my clients since I started in the industry 10 years ago. Over the past few months I have definitely changed my opinion on the Merlin Mini. It not only has the same great features of the Merlin HD (minus the 24” screen size) but much much more. The Merlin Mini is a “portable” and a desktop all in one. I recently sold one to a client that was able to sit in his easy chair and read the newspaper. All he needed was a small table to put the Merlin Mini on in front of him and he was ready to go.

The lightweight of the Mini (only 10 lbs) as well as the foldable design make it easy to move throughout the house. It comes in 2 screen sizes, 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches. Both with cases allowing it to be taken anywhere.
Unlike the Merlin Ultra HD, it has a movable camera allowing you to read a full page without moving the reading material.
It has a rechargeable battery (yes no more cords or plugs) that lasts up to 5 hours of continual use. Also the charger plug in is circular so no more USB connections and figuring out which way it goes into the device when charging.
